Thermosteel Nigeria Limited (TNL) is a privately owned environmental laboratory and consultancy firm offering a broad range of laboratory analysis, monitoring and consultancy services in the environment and related subject areas.

Founded in 1974 under the name Nigeria Thermoplastic Limited (RC No. 13954) and later changed to Thermosteel Nigeria Limited on 21st August 1978. The company has grown to become one of the leading environmental companies in Nigeria.

Between 1976 and 1992, the company specialized in the construction of barges, underground / surface tanks for oil or water, silos, fabrication / erection of steel structures and pipelines; dry docking of boats and barges, sand / grit blasting, corrosion detection, repairs and painting; construction of trailer tankers vehicle bodies and seagoing vessels.

By the middle of 1992, the company decided to diversify from its conventional activities to mainly environmental consultancy / analytical laboratory services after carefully studying the trends of the business at home and abroad.
